President & Chief Executive Officer
Mike has more than 25 years of sales and executive leadership experience in scale-out analytic applications, grid computing, storage infrastructure, security, and retail.
Prior to Clustrix, Mike ran the top sales division of large-scale cloud computing company Platform Computing, later acquired by IBM. He also led global sales of ParAccel, and helped with a successful turnaround of PostX Corporation, prior to its acquisition by Cisco. Azevedo held several leadership positions at VERITAS Software, where he was involved in strategic M&A and business process re-engineering, eventually becoming head of the F100 sales team.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and management from Chico State University.
Chief Financial Officer
Tom brings 30 years of financial experience to Clustrix, having developed and supported a variety of business models in both public and private companies. In his most recent role at PivotLink, Tom was responsible for corporate governance, debt and equity financing, strategic financial planning, legal, accounting, and human resources. Previous CFO roles include Kickfire, a data analytics appliance provider, PanTerra Networks, Knova Software, Embrace Networks, and Solopoint. Earlier in his career, Tom spent 12 years at Tandem Computers supporting a variety of business units including the $200M NonStop SQL database software division.
Tom holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS in Economics from Bowling Green.
Vice President of Engineering
Prior to Clustrix, Robbie was the founder and CTO of Thynkster. Robbie also worked in vice president roles at marketing software companies Marketo and MarketLive. At both companies, he implemented agile processes and practices, significantly improving concept-to-market deployment. In addition, Robbie served 10 years as the key engineer on the database engine at Sybase, later becoming the director of SQL server. Later, he led the performance effort for the RDBMS system posting record-breaking benchmarks and leading the scalability re-architecture of the core database engine.
Vice President of Technology
Jin brings more than 17 years of R&D experience in scale-out database, storage infrastructure, and information sharing applications to Clustrix. Most recently he led a sought-after R&D team with Samsung Electronics where his main responsibility was for designing new data store technology for the future and enabling existing cloud storage service to build up capabilities to keep pace with global demand, while also leading both strategic M&A and technology alliance. In addition, Jin served both the key engineer and the development management role on various data store solutions at Couchbase, Oracle and EMC.
Jin earned his Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the Carnegie Mellon University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
