As an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of large and fast-growing e-commerce businesses, few events on the calendar excite us as much as the annual Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE). The conference brings more than 90 percent of the e-commerce solutions market to one place, and offers a uniquely broad view of the Internet retail space. The 2015 show, which will run June 2-5 at McCormick Place West in Chicago, has the Clustrix team chomping at the bit to get out to the Windy City for some great reasons:
Technology-focused sessions: This year’s agenda is chock full of sessions covering various technological pain points and solutions. The Day 2 Technology Track, for example, features a session entitled “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do—But It Doesn’t Have to Be,” led by Kim Hansen, Winston Brands’ Senior VP of Marketing and E-commerce. Hansen will discuss how online retailers can make a smooth transition from legacy technology to a new solution without suffering a significant disruption to its operations.
This is a topic we’ve given a lot of thought, which is why we designed ClustrixDB as a “drop-in” solution for companies suffering from poor MySQL performance. Requiring no code changes and compatible with MySQL, ClustrixDB can slide in seamlessly as a replacement for legacy architecture.
Keynotes: The IRCE keynotes are always highly anticipated by conference attendees and exhibitors because the quality of the speakers is always excellent. This year’s lineup is no exception; in fact, the speakers’ diversity is quite intriguing. Executives from Target, Reddit, Forrester and 1-800-Flowers will hit the stage to discuss the latest e-commerce trends and, more interestingly, what they anticipate for the future of Internet selling.
