San Francisco - Sep 15, 2015 - Clustrix, provider of the first scale-out relational database designed to meet the needs of large, fast-growing e-commerce sites and other big Web- and cloud-based applications, today announced that its vice president of engineering, Robbie Mihalyi, will be presenting as part of this year’s NYCSQL Database Month, a biannual festival presented by the NYC NoSQL & NewSQL Group.
Robbie Mihalyi is Vice President of Engineering at Clustrix and industry veteran leader of both relational database products and SaaS application product development organizations including Sybase, MarketLive and Marketo.
Robbie Mihalyi will present the session titled “SQL Scale-Out: Can you Gain Elasticity and Capacity without Compromising Certainty?” which will cover various strategies for scaling SQL both up and out, as well as the related tradeoffs that need to be considered.
Mihalyi will also detail how the architecture of CustrixDB differs from current market offerings in its ability to provide an elastic, scale-out RDBMS solution that delivers performance and fault tolerance at massive scale, while maintaining data integrity through ACID compliance. Additionally, he will elaborate on the unique advantages of being able to deploy this database in any cloud environment or data center.
