Clustrix Launches “The State of Online Shopping: 2014 Survey”

Survey results will provide insight into consumer’s online shopping habits and trends

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Sep 16, 2014 - Clustrix, provider of the leading scale-out SQL database engineered for the cloud, today launched its first annual state of online shopping survey, a consumer-focused study intended to identify the key trends driving e-commerce in 2014.

The proliferation of mobile devices and social media has brought about a major shift in consumer shopping trends over the last several years. With a growth rate of almost 20 percent per year, e-commerce is on track to outpace the growth of brick-and-mortar businesses. That being said, e-commerce companies need to know how to prepare their businesses to meet this growing demand.

“The purpose of the survey is to collect data on, and provide insight into, the online shopping trends of consumers,” said Tony Barbagallo, Clustrix CMO. “Our aim is to serve as a resource for our customers. By collecting consumer data, we’ll be able to identify online shopping habits, which are paramount to our e-commerce customers.”

The survey is completely anonymous, and in order to get accurate results, Clustrix needs a large number of respondents. Individuals who complete the survey will be entered in a drawing to win a $200 Amazon gift card. Additionally, the first 20 to complete the survey will receive a $10 Amazon gift card, just for participating.
