Mike has more than 25 years of sales and executive leadership experience in scale-out analytic applications, grid computing, storage infrastructure, security, and retail.
Prior to Clustrix, Mike ran the top sales division of large-scale cloud computing company Platform Computing, later acquired by IBM. He also led global sales of ParAccel, and helped with a successful turnaround of PostX Corporation, prior to its acquisition by Cisco. Azevedo held several leadership positions at VERITAS Software, where he was involved in strategic M&A and business process re-engineering, eventually becoming head of the F100 sales team.
Mike holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration/management from Chico State University.
John is a co-founder and managing partner of HighBar Partners. Before HighBar, John was with W Capital Partners joining as the firm’s first employee in 2003. During his time at W Capital, John acquired direct investments in the secondary market from corporations, financial institutions and general partnerships while also focusing on structured and special situations investing. Before W Capital, John worked in operations as director of corporate development at Zeborg, where he focused on financial operations and corporate strategy. He was also director of investments at ISL Management, a venture capital firm funded by JP Morgan dedicated to early-stage financial services and software investing. John worked as an investment banker with JP Morgan Chase and Robertson Stephens, where he worked on complex leveraged finance, and merger and acquisition transactions across sectors including technology, financial and healthcare services and industrials. He holds a BS degree in economics from the University of Chicago and an MBA with honors from Columbia Business School.
Shawn brings to the Clustrix board two decades of experience as an executive, board member, investor and adviser. A strategist with a strong technical and operations background who is well connected and has done game-changing deals with some of the biggest tech players on the planet. Shawn has been a key player in acquisitions on both the buy and sell side and have been involved in building businesses in hybrid-cloud, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, DevOps, enterprise software and security. Prior his role as CTO at a leading Hybrid Cloud Management company acquired by CSC, he was Managing director at EMC Ventures where he drove strategic investments in cloud, big data/analytics, software-defined data center and security.
Charles is a seasoned technology investor, executive and advisor with a career spanning private equity, venture capital, corporate development and investment banking. Charles is currently an active board member, investor and advisor to several emerging growth companies and investment firms. Previously, Charles was a Partner at Warburg Pincus where his areas of interest included Enterprise IT and Communications. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Charles spent a decade at Cisco where he was the Vice President of Corporate Development leading a global team responsible for the company’s acquisition and venture capital strategy. Before joining Cisco, Charles was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs where he was an early member of the Technology Investment Banking group. Charles holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree with honors from Tufts University.
